Rent glasses instead of buying them.
Based on established eyewear subscription programmes such as Mister Spex Switch and Synsam Lifestyle.
Many customers need a second pair or better lenses but hold back because of the high one-off price. With an eyewear subscription they get the glasses they actually need for a predictable monthly fee, and they come back to you every year. junini makes eyewear subscriptions possible for optician chains and independent stores.
Why eyewear subscriptions matter right now
The market has been selling fewer glasses for years, customers put off buying a second pair, and on average four years pass between two purchases.
This is exactly where the eyewear subscription comes in: it removes the barrier of the high one-off price and turns a rare purchase into an ongoing customer relationship.

How an eyewear subscription with junini works
Eyewear subscription created
Your team sets up the subscription right at the point of sale. Contract and payment method are handled digitally by junini.
Pickup activates the subscription
When the customer picks up their glasses, the subscription starts. From then on, junini takes care of monthly payment collection and dunning.
Care products picked up
Depending on the optician, the subscription can include things like care products. Every pickup is recorded and brings the customer back to your store regularly.
Exchange available, appointment booked
Shortly before the first twelve months are up, junini notifies the customer automatically. They book an appointment for a product exchange in your store.
Product exchange, term extended
The customer exchanges one pair for a new one. The term extends from 24 to 36 months. For you, that means new revenue.
Damage claim: repair or replacement
If the customer reports damage, the glasses are repaired or replaced at your store. The customer pays a small deductible.

The eyewear subscription from your customers' point of view
An all-round, worry-free package with a predictable monthly fee. Your customers get the eyecare they actually need, without a high one-off price.
- 1Choose glassesThe customer chooses two or more pairs, often prescription glasses and prescription sunglasses. Advice and fitting happen at your store as usual.
- 2Rent monthlyInstead of a high one-off price, the customer pays a fixed monthly fee over 24 months. Cover for damage and loss and new lenses when their prescription changes are included, plus care products depending on the optician.
- 3Exchange every yearAfter twelve months, a customer can exchange one pair for a new one. The term extends by twelve months, so the next visit to your store is already in the diary.
We earn when your eyewear subscriptions succeed.
Our model is success-based. junini's fee depends on the active subscriptions in your stores. If the eyewear subscription works for you, it works for us too.
We agree on the right structure with you individually.
We've scaled an eyewear subscription before.
Constantin Reinprecht built the eyewear subscription model at Mister Spex from scratch and scaled it to around 15% of store revenue. junini is the platform Constantin wishes he had had at Mister Spex, built on the experience of more than 10,000 subscriptions sold in Germany.

Plus a growing team across product, engineering and sales.
Frequently asked questions
We're happy to show you everything else in a personal conversation.
Do I have to change how my stores work?
No. Advice, refraction, fitting and adjustment stay as they are. What's new is signing up the subscription at the point of sale, and we prepare your team for that.
Does junini work with my practice software?
You can start without any technical integration. Integration with common industry software is in preparation. We'll work out together what makes sense for your stores.
Is the eyewear subscription a form of financing?
No. The eyewear subscription is a rental model with additional services, not an instalment purchase. We're happy to show you how the contracts are structured in detail.
How does the subscription affect my cash flow?
You choose whether your rental income reaches you monthly over the term or partly up front. We'll discuss which option suits you in a call.
What does junini cost?
Our model is success-based and tied to your active subscriptions. We agree the specific structure with you.
Who is junini for?
We're starting with optician chains. Independent stores with one or a few locations will follow. Do get in touch anyway.
We look forward to hearing from you!
